Compassion is not practiced with the money of others.
When individual responsibility is overlooked,
individual freedom is lost.
There is no social consciousness.
Consciousness is individual.
a liberdade individual é perdida.
Não existe consciência social.
A consciência é individual
The number of people who prefer to lose
or seriously compromise their independence and autonomy
by the false promises of a protective state, is colossal.
Many forget, however, that when we transfer the responsibility
of caring to the State,
not only do we become enslaved to an authoritarian power,
but we cease to guide our own decisions through ethics and morality,
and subconsciously admit coercion as a mode of conduct .
The State ceases to be at our service
as we become slaves of the State.
passando a admitir sub-conscientemente
e passamos nós a servir o Estado.
The state's eagerness to control our lives, does not surprise us.
But what is scary, is the amount of people who passively accept it.
By promising security, a basic income, and social subsidies to people,
the State buys the freedom of the individual
and guarantees his future servitude to State power.
There are no free lunches ...
o Estado compra a liberdade do indivíduo
e garante a futura servidão deste perante o poder do Estado.

In this context, in which people suspect themselves
but believe in the virtues of the public agents,
the collective becomes more important than the individual.
It quickly moves to the philosophy of creating an egalitarian society
in which income differences are defined,
as the result of the exploitation of the weakest, the victims,
and for this reason, the State, must compensate them
for the disparities, through the redistribution of wealth
and through its coercive power.
Economic and societal planning is introduced through "social justice"
which presupposes unequal treatment of different individuals
in the forms and quantities, that the public authorities understand
and define as necessary and that are determined by
decisions taken, according to the circumstances.
The State takes upon itself the task of granting rights to all
and goes far beyond going to situations of objective misery and destitution.
Even proven needs, would not justify granting unlimited aid,
but the State does more than that and goes on to determine the "just" position,
of individuals in society, replacing the spontaneous order of
free cooperation and voluntary, mutual adjustment between individuals.
The State produces nothing
and all that it has, is the result of people's work.
What they redistribute, is something that has been taken from someone,
even if there is no resistance from the victim.
That is, the State takes some, to give to others,
of what the State, unilaterally decides who deserves aid.
O Estado nada produz
Examples of these, are pensions and retirement funds.
These are paid with the income of those who are actively working
and not with the money of those who have retired,
sometimes being in a more comfortable situation
than those who are still actively working.
The sly scheme of collecting compulsory social security contributions,
has the clear objective of leading the worker to believe,
that the tax he pays, is a saving that is being accumulated
and that can be fully recovered in his old age.
But even if the system in force,
were the accumulation of the capital of contribution of each beneficiary,
how many would have had sufficient time of contribution
to receive the exorbitant pensions that the State
now decided would be fair to receive?
The state attributes to everyone the "right" to comfort,
at the expense of those who are not yet old enough to retire
and who just have not retired before, because they too, have no guarantee,
that they will receive the same level of benefits.
There is no incentive for saving,
nor do people feel the need to put aside savings for old age.
Intergenerational solidarity is therefore,
nothing more than, the previous generation is sustained,
by the next generation.
But one day the Ponzi scheme will explode ...
If people were not forcefully obliged to "contribute"
for the social security system,
and they had the opportunity to have more money at their disposal,
would people actually choose the State to manage their savings?
Se não fossem compulsivamente obrigados a “descontar”
para a segurança social e tivessem a oportunidade
de ter mais dinheiro disponível,
as pessoas escolheriam o Estado
para administrar as suas poupanças?
Good intentions to help people do not legitimize,
that a few people should be able to boast,
that they have authority over all other individuals,
nor does the urgency to resort to situations of necessity,
justify distorting moral principles.
No one has the right,
to forcibly take away the proceeds of labour
nor the accumulated wealth of individuals,
even if for the purpose of helping others.
The fact that the State is democratically assigned the task
of withdrawing the property of others, does not render the fact illegal,
that a robbery is being committed,
nor of who is allowed to participate
in a collective thievery.
participar numa ladroagem colectiva.
If one, by the threat of force,
acquires a legitimately accumulated wealth
of a very rich, rude and deeply selfish individual
to help with his contribution, a person,
who for various circumstances of life,
has been thrown into a desparate situation,
it is still a robbery, even if the benefit,
brought to the poor, is greater than,
the material damage done to the rich.
On the other hand,
the State can not force people to be good, charitable or compassionate.
Virtue and morality, only exist if it is a free and autonomous choice
of individuals to do good.
Ethics and the scale of values, vary from person to person.
Imposing a code of moral conduct on others
is totalitarian.
But it should also be said,
that selfishness and altruism are not antagonistic,
for without first treating ourselves, we will not be able to help others.
By enforcing solidarity among people,
the State not only dangerously reduces
the incentives for wealth creation,
leaving all of us poorer,
but it also encourages aid recipients
to feel they have a "right" to be helped,
perpetuating begging and poverty.
perpetuando a mendicidade.
If we want a more dignified society,
the emphasis must be given,
not on the sustainability of our social State,
but to the need to regain our individual freedom.
We must strive so that the powers and scope of the State
are drastically diminished and allow us to deal with our own lives.
Theft can not be justified by the cause of equality.
LIBERALISMO
O estado-social é imoral!
