Jeroen Dijselbloem´s body language says EVERYTHING.
The declaration of the Eurogroup confirms,
that European institutions view with enormous reserves,
the portuguese´s government budget accounts.
"It's in the interest of Portugal to reassure investors ," says Moscovici.
Klaus Regling says that the worsening of the Portuguese interest rate,
is due to the budgetary plans of the Lisbon government.
Centeno believes that the "Plan B" would not have to be triggered.
The Finance Minister Mario Centeno,
pledged before his colleagues from the Eurogroup
to prepare a new set of austerity measures, as soon as possible,
that will be triggered immediately,
if a slippage of the risks in the 2016 Budget is confirmed.
These new measures will begin to be discussed
in the Portuguese Parliament on the 22 February.
The minister believes, however,
that there is no need to activate this plan B.
"We do not tell our colleagues what to do,
but I strongly welcome the commitment of Portugal
to prepare and provide additional upfront measures".
The measures will then be submitted to the European Commission
to "assess the budgetary impact,"
explained the president of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem.
The aim is that this kind of "Plan B" will be ready by May.
Pierre Moscovici also welcomed the commitment made by Mário Centeno,
warning that the risk, of the 2016 Budget, violating the European rules,
"have not disappeared" with the 13 additional austerity measures
that have been submitted between January 22 and February 5,
and Brussels affirms to be around one billion euros.
"We have just eliminated a serious risk. But the risk is still there.
It is in the interest of Portugal to reassure investors,"
said the European Commissioner for Economic Affairs,
while also insisting that Portugal procees "quickly"
with reforms to accelerate productivity and growth
and the employment potential of the economy.
Unfortunately we have seen this film before,
when Tsipras and Varoufakis (still remember this creature?),
the same tactics as Costa and his communist supporters,
in the Eurogroup.
