A group of one hundred businessmen signed a manifesto expressing serious concern at the "political uncertainty" and the possibility that the country has, in short, a Government of 'anti-private Initiative" supported by the radical Left Bloc and the Portuguese Communist Party.
The 100 entrepreneurs believe that the current climate of mistrust and instability reigning in Portugal, will eventually lead to "the postponement of projects" and "hamper new investments", at a time when it is important to pursue the country's economic recovery, achieved at the enormous expense of "painstaking efforts of the last four years."
The manifest is an initiative of the Association of Family Enterprises (AEF) and has as subscribers businessmen, such as Peter Villax (Hovione), Vasco de Mello (Mello group), Pedro Teixeira Duarte (Teixeira Duarte), Antonio Rios Amorim (Amorim) John Pereira Coutinho (SGC group), Alexandre Relvas (Logoplaste) or Jose Luis Simões (Luis Simões group).
