Alexis Tsipras, PM of Greece
When a political party promises this world, the stars and galaxy,
to the people, who have endured 5 or more years of economic hardships
and sufferring, they are oh so eager to believe.
To believe in a miracle, to believe in the impossible,
to believe in the irrealistic promises of a charasmatic newcomer,
against the system, against the "troika",
who have managed to keep the country afloat for years
of mismanagement, overspending unsustainable deficit, pardoned debt, etc.
But sooner or later, reality comes knocking on the door of illussions.
Tsipras was forced to accepted the measures of the EU
and the investors, who provide the money.
Never has the expression been more apt, than now:
"Money talks"
For Tsipras to get more money from the investors, and the EU,
where every citizen of the 28 EU countries,
has to pay extra taxes to sustain the Greek defaults and expenditure,
he had to go back on his word.
His Syriza party does not support him any more,
and during the latest voting,
to get the next bail-out program approved,
one third of his own party voted against him,
with many resignations on hand.
He only managed, by irony of destination,
to get the program voted by the opposition.
Early elections are expected for the 20th September.
Lessons can be learned from this disastrous tragedy.
Reality always catches up with illussions and fantasies.
Mr. Costa, take note, how your hero of change in Europe
and an example to follow, ended up!
Portugal is definitely NOT Greece!
Through hardship and suffering, we paid our dues,
and continue to pay back the 78 billion euros asked from the "troika"
by the socialists.
We need a stable and credible government to be able to do this.
Not a feeble, unstable, erratic politician, who promises paradise one day,
and the next day, says, it's only estimates for the future.
207,000 new jobs??
Politicians don't "create" jobs by magic.
Investors and stable, solid companies provide
jobs vacancies.
Today Costa said of the program presented yesterday,
that: "Job creation is not a promise,
it is a prediction"
The general secretary of the PS, António Costa,
said today in Viana do Castelo,
that he "does not promise to create 207,000 jobs,
but undertakes to put in place measures that will prioritize job creation".
Measures?? By magic?
Sounds too much like Tsipras.
And WHY on earth the number 207,000?
DO NOT BELIEVE IN PREDICTIONS!
So much unpredictable circumstances,
can derail good intentions!
