Socialist proposal - Stealing from the Social Security Pension Fund for urban rehabilitation

Socailist candidate as PM, António Costa

Maria Luis, Minister of Finance

The finance minister accused the Socialists Party
of wanting to maintain the uncertainty about the pension system
until the elections which threatens to cause
a financial default of 12.4 billion euros.

Maria Luís Albuquerque attacked the PS's proposal,
which makes provisions for a decrease in the single social tax (TSU)
by four percentage points, both for employers and for workers,
but also the idea of the socialist secretary general, António Costa,
to transfer about 10 per cent (€ 1.4 billion)
of the Financial Stabilization Fund of the Social Security
to be used for urban rehabilitation.
According to the Minister of Finance's calcalations,
the decrease of the TSU can open a default of € 11 billion
in the Social Security system,
to which should be added the 1.4 billion euros
the socialists want to use for the urban rehabilitation.

Just TWO questions remain?
1) By using The Financial Stabilization Fund
 to rehabilitate urban areas,
WHO is going to pay the pensions of future generation?

2) WHY didn't António Costa rehabilitate the urban area
of Lisbon, while mayor of the capital?

Now, according to Costa, the whole country's taxpayers
will be forced to pay for urban rehabilitation,
and when they get old,
there will be NO PENSIONS for them.

Not worth a second thought!!
