Child Cancer patients receiving chemotherapy in hospital corridors in Oporto!!

Children with cancer receive chemotherapy in the corridors

Parents complain about the conditions in which their children
receive chemotherapy treatments in the corridors
of S.João and Joãozinho Hospital in Oporto.

Pediatric chemotherapy
in an outpatient clinic at the Hospital of S. João, Porto,
is being done in a corridor.
This is one of the many complaints that the parents,
 of children with oncological disease
have pointed out and have already brought to the attention
of the Administration of the Hospital Center.
The lack of conditions extends to the Joãozinho's unit,
where children are referred to, when they have to be hospitalized.
This Health Unit has been functioning in containers
outside the central hospital building, for almost ten years.
Despite the bad conditions,
parents understand that the health professionals
are doing everything possible
to give the best treatment to these children.

The construction of the new pediatric ward
has been halted for the last two years.

According to Jorge Pires, the father of a teenager in treatment,
"The children who had just had a chemotherapy session,
have to share the elevators with the garbage bins
and the cleaning trolleys are placed next to the food trolleys,"
adding that he has sent several emails to the hospital administration.

Patricia Ferraz, the mother of another child with cancer,
says that when the children need hospitalization,
they have to wait four and five hours for an ambulance
"without any hygienic conditions"
to take the children to Joãozinho,
which could be done "in a few minutes".

Another mother, Marlene Pinho,
said that if the situation in the chemotherapy zone
in the outpatient clinic "is chaotic",
and when it is necessary to hospitalize the children
the situation is a thousand times more serious.
"It shouldn't be permitted
 that children in isolation,
are kept in rooms with holes in the walls."

The Portuguese Health system is in TOTAL chaos!!
Mr Centeno is a brilliant economist ,
who gathers praise in Brussels,
but in Portugal,
all public services are falling apart.
There are no conditions, the roads are full of potholes,
112 people burnt to death just a few months ago,
because Civil Protection didn't react for SIX terrible hours,
the communication system have failed
and people were just left to save themselves,
with the most tragic results.

The Socialist- Communist government of Costa
is a redundunt failure,
the "fat Cats" are getting fatter,
family and friends are favoured,
and wide-spread corruption is rife!

Vote for them again in 2019!!
VOTE FOR MORE CHAOS!!
