Nunca pensei que iria escrever algo deste género para estes dois “camaradas”, mas,
depois daquilo que hoje aconteceu, só me resta desabafar com vocês
e nunca perder a esperança.
Que aliás, é o que faço todos os dias.
I never thought I would write something like this about these two "comrades," but,
after what has happened today,
all I can do is open my heart to you and never lose hope.
Which, by the way, is what I do every day.
Hoje, o PS, o BE e o PCP encerraram a comissão de inquérito
à Caixa Geral de Depósitos sem sequer esperarem
que a auditoria chegasse a terminar.
Não tiveram a decência (mas sim o receio)
de esperar que a lista de créditos efectuados
pelo Banco Público chegasse ao parlamento.
Today, the PS, BE and PCP closed the commission of inquiry
into the Caixa Geral de Depósitos, the State Bank,
without even waiting for the audit to end.
They did not have the decency (but the fear)
of waiting for the list of credits made by the Public Bank
to arrive at the parliament.
Como os tempos mudaram…

Em tempos eram os“Reis do escrutínio financeiro”,
que se pudessem punham os banqueiros todos na prisão,
neste mesmo dia decidiram pôr para trás todos os anos
de “luta contra o sistema”
e ceder aos caprichos do aliado,
o partido socialista.
In faraway times, these comrades, were the "Kings of financial scrutiny",
where, if possible, all bankers should have been imprisoned,
but they decided to ignore all the years of "struggle against the system"
and give in to the whims of their political ally,
the socialist party.
O argumento de que ”não podemos criar desconfiança aos investidores” é,
no mínimo, uma anedota.
Desde quando é que descobrir a verdade
mete medo a alguém?!
The argument that "we can not cause distrust in foreign investors"
is at least an anecdote.
Since when is getting to the bottom of the truth
scaring off anyone ?!
Hoje sabemos que a Caixa, não passa de uma instituição,
que se corrompeu absolutamente pelo poder politico
e que, em vez de cumprir o seu objectivo nobre,
serviu como túnel para trocas de favores e interesses.
Today we know that the Caixa Bank,
is nothing more than an institution
that has been corrupted by political power
and, instead of fulfilling its noble purpose,
serves as an instrument for the exchange of
political favours and interests.
Sugiro que nos preocupemos em saber quem andou a abusar da CGD,
porque assim estaremos a honrar o maior “investidor” do Banco Público.
Aquele que enterrou mais dinheiro, o contribuinte português.
Esse, já passou a fase do “receio”, infelizmente.
I suggested that we worry about who has been abusing the CGD
because we would be honouring the largest "investor" in the State Bank.
Those who that were "forced" to come up with most of the money,
the poor Portuguese taxpayer.
These, have already passed the phase of "fear",
unfortunately.
“Camaradas”, tenham vergonha.

Hipócritas que se venderam por um pires de tremoços.
Dão cobertura e suportam uma dose de austeridade pior que a da Troïka.
Under the control the Rattlesnake Costa, are all these invertebrate troglodytes.
Hypocrites who sold their soul for a saucer of lupines.
They give cover and bear a dose of austerity, much worse than that of the Troika bail-out.
Renegam, distorcem e cospem tudo o que disseram nunca fazer,
com a mão no peito da suposta coerência ideológica.
Mercenários sem pudor ou moral.
They deny, distort and spit on everything they promised they would never do,
they swear with their hands on their hearts, of a supposed ideological coherency.
Mercenaries without modesty or morals.
Estão já no papinho do PS, de quatro, mansinhos, a fingir que rosnam, a dar ao rabinnho,, contentes e a sorrir, com uma manada de gigantes sapos rosa no bucho e uma cenoura com Aspirina à frente das palas, tal é a dor que lhes assola uma certa região.
They are already in the clutches of the Socialists, standing on all fours,
pretending to growl, waging their tails, in smiling contentment,
with a whole herd of giant pink frogs stuffed down their throats
and a carrot with Aspirin in front of their blindfolds,
such is the pain that devastates a certain region.
O PCP parece a anedota do gorila e do caçador,
afinal os comunistas gostam é de engolir sapos.
Vai ser assim até às autárquicas.
The Communist Party are like the joke of the gorilla and the hunter.
After all, the communists like to swallow frogs.
It will be like this until the local municipal elections.
Se o PCP perder autarquias e perceber que saiu prejudicado
com o "negócio" da geringonça,
então o governo pode ir ao ar em três tempos,
até porque o PS tem cada vez menos para dar ao PCP.
If the Communist Party should lose municipalities in the local elections
and realizes that it has been harmed by this dodgy "business" of the contraption-coalition,
then the socialist,-marxist government will blow up in the air in no time.
Because the Socialists have less and less to give to the Communists.
E de caminho, os ortodoxos aproveitam para arrumar, os jovens turcos,
que defendem o apoio à geringonça.
And of course, in the process, the orthodox faction
will use the opportunity to get rid of the young Turks
who have defended the communist support for the contraption-coalition.
