Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic Affairs,
will come to Lisbon on Thursday and will have meetings
with António Costa and Mario Centeno.
António Costa´s contraption government of a strange mix
of socialists-marxists and other radical communists,
are held together in a very weak way by barbed wire,
ready to fall apart at any second.
The so-called "Reversions" translates
into the reappropriation of the economy by the State,
of the re-nationalization of privitized state companies,
subjecting the electorate to party pressures
and restoring the authoritarianism of the State.
Portugal, given its insignificant dimension,
has done more than most, since joining the European project,
as a barrier against the authoritarian reversals,
as Mario Soares always defended.
Now it is the PS seems to raise doubts in that regard ...
As for the small radical parties supporting the current government,
have always been "sovereignist",
in the sense that they claim to be anti-capitalist
and advocate more or less openly the exit of the 'euro'-zone,
not to mention the complete exit of the EU itself,
hoping thereby, to exercise greater political power in Portugal ...
The national product has already absorbed in excess of 50% of the budget
and is close to beating the record,
before the country was brought to bankruptcy in 2011!
This highly unstable situation is unfavorable to the budgetary needs
of the Portuguese government. Our current government will therefore,
hardly get any facilities from the Eurozone.
Even more complicated than to find a balance between income and expenses,
is the process of the ongoing "reversions,"
which financial effects of the long-term, no one can calculate.
Worse than that, the so-called "reversions"
translated already in the reappropriation of the economy by the State
and the re-nationalization of society,
subjecting the electorate to party pressures and restoring,
in short, the State authoritarianism in the country,
in which this country has not ceased to live!
