The Unelected PM, António Costa
The government of António Costa has already made 994 appointments
in just three months in office,
of which only 859 are for the ministerial offices,
according to research from "i" newspaper,
to all the nominations published in the Official Gazette
(Diario da Republica) of last Friday.
This number, however, sins by default.
With regard to the government offices,
there are several members of the executive who have not published
any appointment of deputies, advisors/consultants, administratives,
secretaries and drivers.
In the case of positions in the public administration,
according to the "i" newspaper,
it only covers appointments already published in DR,
not including the newly announced leaders,
such as for the presidency of the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB).
This is the main reason why the costs of the current government offices
has soared to € 58.2 million this year,
€ 6.7 million more than in 2015.

according to the analysis of "i" newspaper of the published appointments,

is led by the defense minister, José Azeredo Lopes,

and 1 driver.
