Deliberate lies - twisting the truth. The vice-president of the European Commission corrects Costa´s lies

Socialist António Costa

The president of the CDS-PP has accused the Socialist Party's (PS)
 secretary general, (António Costa)
of trying to mislead the Portuguese
about the budgetary impact of the capitalization of the New Bank,
 which was "categorically" denied
by the vice president of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis.

"António Costa, the Vice President of the European Commission
has categorically denied that there would be any impact of the Novo Banco,
as it is purely statistical,
and has no effect on the 2014 deficit nor on the following deficit,
it does not disturb the form of how Portugal will exit from the excessive deficit
and Portugal will not need any extra austerity measures to compensate, "
said the president of the CDS-PP, Paulo Portas, the deputy prime minister.

"António Costa, you wanted to fool the Portuguese with your lies and that's a shame."

Paulo Portas was referring to the statement made today to the Lusa agency
by European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis,
which oversees the euro,
in which he described the capitalization operation of the New Bank
as "a purely accounting issue" that "does not affect the path of Portugal
of correction of the excessive deficit
nor does it require any compensatory measures. "

The current Social Democrat deputy,
Adam Silva said that there are "40,000 citizens of the Bragrança district,
who are receiving the minimum social and rural pensions,
" noting that it was due to the PSD / CDS-PP government
that these pensions are no longer frozen,
"It is a great advantage for them."
Adam Silva accused the PS
of having an "obscure" and "imperceptible" program
for the Social Security System,
wanting to cut more than one billion euros
"exactly those that benefit the poorest."
Addressing supporters, he added:
"I've never seen such a proposal
in an election program on social security
and therefore take great care in voting."

Whether those deputies who want to be elected,
whether normal voters,
all have realized that the mere illusion,
a mere fantasy,
a mere chimera,
does not take the country anywhere,

"The Alternative" is to vote for someone
who "was twice a minister in two of the most disastrous governments
that Portugal has ever had,", to vote for someone
who "was the number two of "engineer" José Socrates' government"
and "always agreed with him".
Carlos Abreu Amorim,
claimed that the secretary general of the socialists, António Costa,
"never raised his voice publicly to disagree with one of the disastrous policies,
nor any of the paths that led to Portugal´s bankruptcy,"
and "has always been known support wrong choices"
and continues as ever, without having "very different options."
"The socialists are still convinced that what they did up to June 2011,
was the right choice, they do not repent of anything they did
and if they are left on their own,
if we allow them, which we cannot afford to,
they will come back to apply the same disastrous policies,
with the same incompetent people, "

said the PSD deputy.
