The martians (Little green people from Mars) are the Portuguese

António Costa preferes a martian attack
to a coalition with the current gowernment
Costa has suddenly a special "affection"
for Manuela Ferreira Leite
an ex-PSD party leader and much hated
(by the socialists) Finance Minister
The green portuguese martians

António Costa maintains his style of arrogant informal speech
full of pride towards journalists; a lot of pride
and very little statesmanship.
Someone who aspires to become prime minister in a few weeks time
can not refer to a possible coalition scenario with the main Portuguese party -
the PSD -
using expressions such as "only in case of a Martian invasion."

Anthony Costa wants to be Prime Minister of Portugal -
or does he want to be leader of the kindergarden playground?
And how can the portuguese understand that António Costa,
faced with a question from journalists,
turn to the respondent and simply answer , "you tell me."
All this is very bad. Very bad indeed.

For such carelessness of António Costa there's only one explanation:
Costa is convinced that the Portuguese are all Martians.
In other words, according to Antonio Costa,
the Portuguese are living on another planet in regard to political matters -
and therefore it is just natural that Passos Coelho (the current PM),
loses the general elections and Costa wins the elections,
come what may.
The battle is not worth striving too much:
the victory will come, with varying degrees of difficulty.

Over confidence can be a fatal mistake.

The Portuguese know very well what they want
and where they want to go -
and they know very well that they do not want António Costa
and will not follow like stupid green martians
on the way of irresponsible socialism,
which is the way that Costa's socialist party indicates.

Manuela Ferreira Leite
(remember that Ferreira Leite is the author of the famous phrase:
"we need to tighten our belts"
which began our long ordeal of austerity)
and she was the face of austerity -
António Costa, then the parliamentary whip of the PS,
and Ferro Rodrigues the party leader,
fiercely attacked the then Minister of Finance.
Ferreira Leite was then for Costa,
the face of social insensitivity!
Thirteen years later, the world has changed!
António Costa would not mind having as his Minister of Finance
the same Minister that he fought against so fiercely.

Does anything goes to win votes?

Martian attacks, the face of social austerity...
what ELSE awaits the Portuguese?

Costa is clearly living in a world of make-believe,
far from the reality.
