In a near Messianic apparition of luminescent rays,
after a horrendous storm,
the glorious appearances of a magnificent saviour of the nation,
António Costa.
Costa does not understand, neither do the rest of the socialists,
that since 2011, voters have became cynical and unbelievers
of the "loving proposals" of political parties.
What no one can even tolerate,
is that António Costa has been part and parcel,
as a top politician, who was part of all the socialist governments
of the sixteen years prior to 2011.
Coming forward now,
claiming change or even the slightest of credibility,
is like crumbling crumbs.
Costa is like few others, part of the 2011 disaster
and part of the status quo.
Voters no longer accept arguments from 1995.
The symbolism of the picture of the storm is cynical,
as the storm, which represents the bankruptcy,
and the international bailout,
which caused great suffering to the portuguese people,
was created by the Socialist Government, of José Sócretes,
with António Costa (Number 2 in the socialist government)
assisting with enthusiasm in the ensuing disaster.
And the same applies to the unworthy, gutter rhetoric,
which is really all that's left for Costa at this moment,
who constantly throws mud at Passos Coelho.
I recall, that the very same Costa, proposed,
while part of the government,
to hamper investigations and legal proceedings
against fellow socialist politicians.
But I do not see how can Costa, an unconditional supporter of Socrates,
who only when thwarted accepts to say a fifth of the truth,
accusse Passos Coelho to be 'addicted to deception'.
Does Costa not realize,
that the more moral arguments he uses against Passos Coelho,
the more the voters are reminded of the would-be national political prisoner?
