With the political earthquake surrounding the Socialist Party,
after the Euro-elections,
and the ensuing fighting for power, in the form of who should be the leader
of the party, recently elected euro-deputy and former socialist parliamentary whip,
Carlos Zorrinho, has put his finger in the festering sore and the internal battle,
between the two Antónios
(Costa -present mayor of Lisbon and Seguro - present party leader)
The battle has been fierce and scandalous!
The socialist leader Carlos Zorrinho
said today that the PS was transformed this last week
into a "huge House of Secrets", (a popular reality show),
to see which of the two Antónios, Seguro or Costa,
will eventually assume the party leadership.
All that was needed was an added value phone number
for each one to see who is expelled and who stays on top of the heap.
Meanwhile, during a heated censorship debate in parliament,
António Seguro, were in the foyer of the parliament, giving interviews
to journalists, while he should have been part of the debate,
seeing that he instructed the socialists to vote in favour of the censorship,
meaning getting out of the Euro-zone, nationalize strategic companies,
nationalize banks etc.
nationalize banks etc.
While Seguro was happily smiling, full of charm to the journalists,
Socialist deputy, João Galamba, wrote on Facebook,
"Seguro's absence from the debate is an unforgivable shame,
and his justification for his absence
in the motion of non-confidence led by the communist Party, is even worse":
Seguro claimed his absence was a "formal protest" against the government.
For Mr. Seguro, the motion of non-confidence,
is just an "annoyance" for the government and hence his absence.
At the moment of voting, he would be in the parliament to vote in favour.
And the battle continues,
the huge reality show is on the road,
most militants with their swords and daggers at the ready,
to cut each other up in bloody pieces!!
What a reality show, full of surprises and fierce back-stabbing.
Which number should I call?? 808 or 760??
