Crisis - what crisis? An increase of 46.4% in sales of Smartphones in Portugal

In a year that austerity had great impact
on the purchasing power of the Portuguese tightened their belts,
especially on food and other essential goods,
they did not deprived themselves
of adhering to new technologies,
namely smartphones.
The telecommunications area was an exception to the rule,
with an increase of 46.4% in the sales of smartphones,
as announced on Tuesday,
by the Portuguese Association of Distribution Companies.

Neither have the portuguese allowed the crisis to curb their
enthusiasm for football, as stadiums have been choc-a-block,
for the final Benfica-Porto and also Benfica-Chelsea in Amsterdam.

All in all,
the crisis seems to be an illusion,
as the Portuguese carry on living as they did before,
with football, rock concerts, cars, women, parties, etc.,
while they're only saving on buying food.

Good news,
perhaps soon we'll have less obese portuguese children and adults.
