In a much-awaited TV interview,
José Sócrates came forth with the same delusions
and in total denial of the facts.
He came out, charging like a deranged bull,
with his eyes flaring wide in hatred and his nose and mouth blazing fire.
NOTHING HAS CHANGED,
He came out, charging like a deranged bull,
with his eyes flaring wide in hatred and his nose and mouth blazing fire.
NOTHING HAS CHANGED,
from his disastrous regime of governance
which brought the country to its knees,
in a disgraceful bankruptcy,
insurmountable misery and poverty,
making Portugal totally dependent
on foreign aid for mere day-to-day survival.
in a disgraceful bankruptcy,

making Portugal totally dependent
on foreign aid for mere day-to-day survival.
All hard and fast facts presented against his rose-coloured numbers,
were called a scam or hoax,
EVERYONE´s opinion was wrong on all aspects...
ONLY SÓCRATES
is the SOLE OWNER OF THE TRUTH
is the SOLE OWNER OF THE TRUTH
and nothing but the truth.
He fiercely attacked the current President of the Republic,
holding Cavaco e Silva solely responsible for the financial disaster in Portugal,
blaming the President for causing the socialist government to fail,
by creating a political crisis.
by creating a political crisis.
It was excruciatingly painful to watch Sócrates arrogantly blaming
any living, moving creature under the sun,
but NEVER ADMITTING any personal error or malice.
He constantly refused to answer the journalists' questions,
claiming that he was there,
ONLY to give HIS point of view and HIS version of events.
ONLY to give HIS point of view and HIS version of events.
He called Cavaco the
"hidden hand behind the bush which caused a political crisis".
This vehement attack last night on the President,
stemmed from two episode in 2009,
during the socialist governance.
during the socialist governance.
The President, made it clear in a communication
that he feared that he himself was a victim of being spied on,
with his phone calls being tapped and personal e-mails intercepted.
Sócrates never forgave the President for this suggestion,
but by common folklore:
"Where there's smoke, there's a fire!"
seems to confirm the case.
Sócrates denies it outrightly!!
The next point of conflict and accusation against the President,
was when Cavaco warned about the dire situation in the country on March 9, 2011.
Cavaco warned:
"Portugal is in a state of economic and financial emergency,
which is now also a social emergency, as has been widely recognized",
referring essentially to the worsening indicators of the domestic situation:
the economic slowdown, the decline in the savings rate,
the rising unemployment and poverty,
the trajectory of public and external debt.
Cavaco made an urgent appeal to the younger generations:
"Make your voice heard. This is your time.
Show the world that it is possible to live in a more just,
a more developed country,
with a healthier civic and political culture,
much more cleaner and more dignified.
Show the older generations that you are not accommodated
nor resigned to your fate."
Sócrates took these words as a personal insult
and waited nearly two years to counter-attack
and accuse the President of institutional disloyalty.

His total execrable behaviour
was unbelievably painful to watch or even contemplate.
was unbelievably painful to watch or even contemplate.
It left me speechless and sleepless.
NOTHING GOOD CAN COME OUT OF SÓCRATES´ RETURN!!
