M. Pedro Silva Pereira
Chief minister of Socialist Propaganda

Teixeira dos Santos, Finance Minister
After denying for months,
the obvious,
with the foreign debt out of control;
billions and billions of euros due
to be paid in months;
no liquidity to pay public servants after May;
hospitals, the military, the police forces, without the essentails;
without any foreign credibility;
Socrates and Teixeira dos Santos,
were forced to ask for international help.
With the IMF troika already in Lisbon,
assessing the enormous deficit of Portugal,
admitting an emergency bailout
of over 80 billions of euros,
Silva Pereira,
chief "spin-doctor" and minister
of Socialist government Propaganda,
proudly announced that the execution
of the State budget for the first quarter
was going exceptionally well,
beyond expectation.
WHY WAS IT NECESSARY
TO ASK FOR AN EMERGENCY BAILOUT
if Portugal is in such good books??
