Economist Mira Amaral held today,
Friday, that "the Portuguese economy
can not handle any more taxes"
and that it would be the worst signal
to the international markets
if Portugal begins the discussion
of the budget for 2011 at the revenue.
In comments to Lusa news agency,
former Minister of Industry and Energy
has advised the PSD to "draw a lesson for 2011"
of what happened to the state budget for this year,
when considering their vote.
"Abstaining from voting the 2010 state budget
by the PSD, showed that it is not enough
to pass the budget,
because if it is bad,
the markets and the international rating agencies
will punish the country", pointed out Mira Amaral.
