Falling fuel prices, yet NO BENEFITS for consumers in Portugal

Fuel prices reached 147 dollars on the 11 of July 2008, but today, 29th of July, it has fallen to 120 dollars per barrel. A difference of 27 dollars per barrel and in Portugal the consumers still pay 1.50 euro per litre at the services stations.

Of course the Portuguese government is reaping in on this difference in addicional fuel taxes and in complete disregard of the immense difficulties of the country's impoverished population, and its corrupt protection of the fuel companies operating in the country, refuses to share the benefits of cheaper fuel with the portuguese.
