The audacity of Hope

With Obama steamrolling Clinton in this pre-election primaries, a new sensation of hope has filled Americans and Europeans alike.

Is it legitimate to hope at all?

Can we really hope for a better future with Obama as President?

Will the illegal continued occupation of the US in Iraq finally end?

And the war in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Will the US stop torturing prisoners at Guantanamo?

Will the US pay compensation to Iraq, which will take decades to recover from the devastation caused by the US occupation and aggression against the country ?

Will the US stop being a nation of blood-thirsty war-mongers?

Will the US gain the audacity to stop executing their own citizens by cruel and dishuman methods, like lethal injections and the electric chair?

Will the US start being environmentally more friendly and stop spewing toxin waste into the atmosphere of planet Earth?

Can we have the audacity to start hoping, Mr Obama?
