The grim future of Portugal - through the eyes of young entrepreneurs, fed-up of being made fools.

The unelected PM of Portugal, making a fool of the Portuguese

The past is behind us, a consumed fact,
the future is plural - it belongs to everyone.

Discussing the future the other day,
there is disbelief and despondancy in the eyes of the young people.

Those in tourism, is concerned that their businesses will be destroyed
with the state´s intervention.

Those who are consultants,
report that from the exterior of Portugal, there are just alarm signals.

Those who work in modern technology,
have already seen the suspension of foreign investment.

Those who are the exporters,
fear that legislative changes (in labour and new taxes)
will be affecting the sustainability of their business.

Those who suffered at the hardness of the troika meausres during 4 years
and survived them,
thought they had overcome the worst of the crisis,
but unfortunately, these are now all overwhelmed
by the sensation that all their efforts and hardships were in vain.
They will have to start all over, from scratch.

Those that built on the ruins in which the socialists left the country in 2011,
fear that they will be ruined again by the recklessness
of António Costa and his socialist-marxist.leninist unelected guvernment.

Are these politicians mocking us?
Making laughing stock of these young business people??

The longevity of this government,
is dependent on the parliamentary support
of Communists PCP and the radical BE.
Sooner or later, António Costa will provoke a political crisis
which would invariably lead to parliamentary elections
and to be able to  win, Costa will have to satisfy and provide for
the needs of various clienteles, various lobbies -
and this is what moves many of his obstinated decisions,
blaming his predecessors for the economic situation of the country.

The point is that young business people are fed up
with explanations and contextualization of politicians,
to justify that which can not be justified:
that their future is successively put at risk
by politicians and parties
whose only ambition is,
to remain in power.

That´s the reason why they do not realize the far reaching consequences
of the unprecedented point in which the UTAO questions
the technical credibility of the state budget, decorated with hammered numbers.

They do not understand why the warnings of the Board of Public Finance
are disregarded the minute it is disclosed,
as if only the Ministry of Finance is the ONLY entity who knows about numbers.

They do not understand why the doubts and questions
of the European Commission are received by the Socialist as
"lunatic conspiracy theories about neo-liberals" who want to conquer the world.

Much less, do they understand why the Prime Minister, António Costa,
reacted, to the severe warnings of the rating agencies,
and the international markets, launching severe alerts,
shrugging it off, as if it was nothing important.

The follies of the list goes on and on and on
- the sacrifice the external credibility of Portugal
(which took so long to win back),
the favouring of civil servants (in reducing their working hours to 35 hours per week,
without any threat of unemployment and a priviledged retirement),
discriminating the private sector, who have to work 40 hours a week,
may face unemployment at any moment,
the risk brought on by the reversal of privatization of transport state companies,
thereby driving away foreign investment.

The key is this:
the socialist, communist and radicals live in an illusion,
they do not understand the reality of the country
and deliberately ignore the hardships of the future facing the country,
preferring to present a fictional reality
which is much more favorable to win elections.

The fault, of course, is not of these young entrepreneurs,
neither are they hostages of a vision right-wing or left-wing faction.

In fact, only those who are addicted to the political game
can find some logic in all of this which, indeed,
is incomprehensible, unacceptable and too often unworthy
 - a government which risk the lives of others,
pushing down those who believe that it is possible to come out on top,
only to provoke and to win elections.

The final conclusion is:
the socialist-marxists-leninists are definitely mocking us,
making fools of the portuguese in general.
