Costa with his radical communist supporters of his unelected government
With the changing of rulers in Portugal,
the theme of 'jobs for the boys' are back in fashion.
The PSD accused António Costa,
this afternoon in a parliamentary debate,
of having nominated 154 "boys" in just 41 days,
without posting their nomination on the Internet, as required by law.
The Socialist Government promises to do so in January.
"This is a shameless government,
not afraid to nominate but ashamed to disclose the names of those nominated.
Shameless because they do not feel inhibited from doing so,
and ashamed, because they ignored the law
and the most basic rules of democratic transparency
and the choice you´ve made is therefore not publicly disclosed.
"said the Social Democrat deputy, Hugo Soares,
adding that the current Executive exonerated
"all the top leaders of the IEFP, without any shame or thought."
"Not even one was good enough?
Not even one was competent enough? "he asked.
The vice president of the CDS, Cecilia Meireles,
supported the thesis of Hugo Soares and reinforced the need
to know what will happen to Cresap,
and if "it will or will not,
continue to publish government appointments in the Government portal".
Alluding to the PCP and BE,
always "such curious parties"
now "do not seem to care about the socialists appointment spree".
The centrist MP questioned,
whether it is part of the agreement with the socialists
to receive information about these appointments
in the public administration.
