Sérgio Sousa Pinto resigned from the national secretariat of the PS,
breaking away from the strategy of António Costa,
trying to form a government with PCP (the communists)
and the Left Bloc (extreme radicals).
Sérgio Sousa Pinto argues that it is the coalition PSD/CDS
should form a government.
Sérgio Sousa Pinto escrevia na sua página do Facebook:
"Aparentemente o BE e o PCP estão dispostos
a viabilizar um governo do PS,
um governo com menos deputados socialistas
no Parlamento que a coligação de direita.
Mas não estão disponíveis para integrar o governo
e partilhar a responsabilidade de governar.
O que se seguiria seria fácil de imaginar.
Uns a pensar no país, outros a pensar na sua plateia,
outros ainda a pensar em eleições e na maioria absoluta.
A esta barafunda suicidária,
sem programa nem destino certo,
chamar-se-ia "governo de esquerda"
- coisa que nem os eleitores do bloco desejaram,
optando pelo partido do protesto histriónico (e agora fanfarrão).
Um penoso caos que entregaria Portugal à direita
por muitos anos.
Mas talvez permitisse ao BE suplantar o PS.
E não é essa a verdadeira agenda,
velha de 40 anos, de quem se reclama "da verdadeira esquerda"?
Talvez me engane".

But are not available to join the government and share the responsibility of governing. What would follow this attitude, would be easy to imagine. Some are thinking about the interests of the country, while others think of their own interests, others still are thinking about more elections and an absolute majority. Within this suicidal mess, there is no program or right destination, only something called a "leftist government" - which neither the voters from the radical block desired, opting rather to be a party of protest (and now filled with over-confidence). A painful chaos that would offer Portugal to the right-wing parties for many years to come. But would perhaps allow the BE to supplant the PS. Pouca a pouca o partido socialista está a cair aos bocados.
Os "ratos" do Largo do Rato,
começam a abandonar o barco do extremismo do Costa.
Homem de falas duplas, do nevoeiro, da indefinição,
que transformou uma derrota
em algo bizarro.

António Costa parece empenhado
em prosseguir na senda da asneira,
não se tendo demitido após a hecatombe eleitoral,
em total contradição com o argumento
com que atraiçoou Seguro e dividiu o PS.
Para agravar os conflitos internos deste partido,
Costa está a coreografar uma aliança com o BE e o PCP,
que não é certo que se concretizará.
Mas se isso acontecer,
será algo votado ao fracasso e ao desastre nacional.
António Costa seems committed to pursue the path of getting screwed up, not having resigned after the electoral catastrophe, in total contradiction with the argument of his coward betrayed of António José Seguro and thereby dividing the socialist party, the PS. Compounding the internal conflicts of his party, Costa is choreographing an alliance with the BE and PCP, which wouldn't be right if it come into being. But if it does, will be doomed to failure and be an enormous national disaster.
