Controlling, threatening, cheating, dispicable freak - José Sócrates.

José Socrates, ex-PM (socialist) imprisoned
for fiscal fraude, money-laundering and corruption

Socrates may be imprisoned,
but he claims that the current PM, Passos Coelho, is "desperate."
In a letter, written from the prison of Évora,
the former prime minister, José Sócrates,
accuses the current PM to be "in moral misery",
condemning the supposedly "cowardly personal attack"
made by Passos Coelho on him,
after the news of Passos' "contributory infringement of social obligations."

From the prison he manages to CONTROL and THREATEN everyone,
especially the current PM and the President of the Republic.

"The prime minister,
in a desperate moment of facing charges for his failure
to comply with his contributory obligations,
could not resist using me, in the process in which I am involved,
in the election campaign and at the PSD Parliamentary Conference"
wrote Socrates,
in a letter published by the newspaper Daily News,
"Diário de Notícias".

Socrates continued: "This despicable way of doing politics
confirms everything about who uses it.
When attacking a political opponent,
who is in prison to defend himself against unfair charges,
the prime minister does not limit himself
to confirm that he is not a "perfect citizen"
quoting Passos Coelho,
" whereby he only reveals his character
and how close he is to "moral misery",
"His political persecution
and trying to condition the outcome of the next election
is now clear in the eyes of the Portuguese."

"Of course, I do not expect the prime minister,
for whom obviously anything goes,
to understand the value of the presumption of innocence as a rule of law,
or the extreme importance of respecting the principle of separation of powers,
and unless you understand that, in my case,
not only has nothing yet been given as proven,
nor has any charges against me being filed"
insisted Socrates.

Sócrates warned the PM:
"Instead of throwing mud on top of others,
the prime minister will do better by explaining to the Portuguese
if he has or has not, complied with the law.
For my part, it is what I have always done."

Always done??
Always complied with the Law??
Bullshit!!
 No wonder Sócrates is imprisoned.

In the case of Passos Coelho,
who had not paid Social Security contributions for 5 years,
confessed that he is imperfect,
paid in full what was indebted.
( even though it had already expired and wasn't due any more),
It is a NON-CASE!

In Portugal there is still the rule of
"presumption of innocence until proven guilty",
so cleverly invoked by Sócrates.
The ONLY person with the power to determine if a certain act
is indeed "criminal" or "illegal" is a judge of a supreme court.
In the case of Passos Coelho,
there is no investigation of the prosecution,
there are no charges,
no decision of an investigative judge,
there is no judgment of a trial judge,
and there is no final conviction.
In other words, there is nothing!

Which is the COMPLETE opposite of Mr. "Holier than Thou - Sócrates"
In his case, an investigation of the prosecution
into his "criminal" and/or "illegal" activities,
of fiscal fraude, money-laundering and corruption,
has been ongoing for more than a year.
He has been interrogated by an investigative judge,
who sent him to preventive detention,
awaiting final charges,
which will lead to a judgement in a court of law.

With him hollering about being a "political prisoner",
while millions of his poisonous network
of money-laundering brings new revelations each day,
is far-fetched and ridiculous.

Speaking of "moral misery"..
the boot really fits himself!!

Defending the presumption of innocence for himself
while insulting and condemning the current PM of a vile "crime",
conviniently forgetting the rule of law,
of the "presumption of innocence"
and using the newspapers and TV's
to stir up public opinion aginst the government,
he only reveals his most vile, vingative, despicable character.

Look in the mirror sometimes, José Sócrates!!

(suppose mirrors aren't allowed in the high security prison where you are!!)
