The impunity of a ticking timebomb

Road Concessions signed by the previous government of José Sócrates
represent 54% of the total black hole of the PPP's.

The ten road concessions signed during the government of José Sócrates, under the Public Private Partnerships (PPP), will generate a loss to the state of more than 5.7 billion euros.

The financial hole created by these roads is so high that, according to the 2011 report of the Directorate - General of Treasury and Finance (DGTF) on PPPs, representing 54% of the total expected loss for the period between 2011 and 2051. And this loss is even higher than the 4.9 billion euros of fiscal effort necessary to meet the deficit of 4.5% in 2013.

Between 2011 and 2051,
gross financial obligations with the PPP roads
will amount to 21.5 billion euros.
With revenues of nearly 10.8 billion euros,
the loss of the state will exceed 10.7 billion euros.

The most scandalous rip-off of the State and the tax-payers money!!

Authorities are examining documents seized in the homes and offices of ex - socialist rulers who were targets in pre-dawn searches in order to consolidate the evidence in the investigation.

There are suspicions of fraud against the state, mismanagement, money laundering and conspiracy.
