The last three days, thousands of commuters had to face incredible chaos on the roads, trying to get to work, while the ticket sellers and conductors of CP (the train company) were on strike,
affecting more than 60% of all urban trains.
CP has an enormous deficit and with stable state jobs,
can have the luxury of causing thousands of commuters enormous difficulties to be able to work, while CP cannot be fired and insist on using their right to strike as a weapon to pressurise government for pay rises, while the country is suffering the most recent catastrophic financial crisis and is a under strict international aid intervention.
