Anders Borg, Swedish Finance Minister,
blame the current Portuguese government for the
financial and economic sitiuation in Portugal.
"The Portuguese government is greatly responsible
for the current situation in Portugal
and put their European partners in an even more difficult position
to decide on a bailout package at such short notice".
The portuguese government has been responsible
for an excessive foreign debt which has been
on a high level for a long time.
There has been many alarming signs
and the portuguese government was asked
to face up to the situation and take responsibility
for the debt earlier on.
If the portuguese government
had done their duty in early October 2010,
Portugal and Europe would have been
in a much better situation today!"
Borg also criticized the manner and timing
in which. the request for a bailout had been made.
The request was given to the EU Commission
on Thursday night, to be decided on Thursday.
Imposing a request for such an elevated amount
at such short notice,
is a too large requirement of other state members,
adding that there are many arguments
for critiscism in this case.
How long will Sócrates go on lying to the Portuguese??
NO ONE else is to blame but Socrates
and his Socialist government
for the current situation in Portugal.
