
The presidential candidate, Manuel Alegre, 
has made a ferocious attack 
on presidential candidate Cavaco Silva 
as Alegre tried to implicate Cavaco Silva 
in all kinds of "false" scandals. 
Alegre's candidacy has been that of a desperate, 
drowning person, marred by daily accusations 
and false morality.
But unfortunately, most portuguese 
either have a short memory 
or were not even born when Alegre, 
closed down the famous, 
the nearly 100 year-old newspaper, 
"O Seculo" 
sending 900 workers into unemployment. 
As a supposed defender of a social state, 
he should have kept quiet, 
with such a legacy round his neck.
Worst than that, he commited an illegality, 
by participating in a publicity stunt 
for a now bankrupt bank, the BPP,
while still a deputy of parliament. 
He received payment for his contribution, 
and during a single day, presented three different versions 
as to what actually happened with the 1,500 euro he received. 
The rocks have been raining on his glass roof, 
as all his falsehoods are being exposed!!
