Young unqualified socialist consultant illegally received a fortune from Lisbon´s Municipality for services rendered

Another scandal rocked the Socialist Party,
when Lisbon's Socialist Municipality was caught red-handed
paying out a fortune to an unqualified Socialist "Boy",
for technical and political consultancy services rendered to a Socialist cabinet member, Graça Fonseca.

Pedro Silva Gomes, with no professional CV or any academic qualifications, son of a Socialist municipality worker, who grew up in a 48 euro/month council house, received 3,950 euro/m, while at the same time receiving another 41,100 euros in subsidies related to job creation, including his own.

In 2009 he resigned by mutual accord from the Socialist functions, starting to receive unemployment benefits. He creates his own private company, Construway, with headquarters at his home in Montijo, gets approval of a previous unemployment fund, of 1,875 euros, creating his own job situation.

In Decembre of 2009, he received an unrefundable subsidy of 57,439 euros from the Institute of Professional Training and Employment, for his "investment" in Construway.

At the same time, Pedro Gomes, signed two contracts with the Lisbon Municipality for services of technical and political consultancy. His first payment was 3,950 euros payable in 30 days, and the second payment was of 47,400 payable within 365 days.

In 2010, Pedro Gomes already received 12,593 euros of subsidies for investment from the Institute of Professional Training and Employment with an outstanding amount due to be paid out of 10,500 euros.
