Judge William Connolly ruled Friday, 8 February, '08 that using the electric chair to excecute condemned prisoners is ILLEGAL and CRUEL, "causing intense pain and agonizing suffering!"
"Condemned prisoners must not be tortured to death, regardless of their crimes."
"...there is evidence that prisoners will sometimes retain enough brain functioning to consciously suffer the torture high voltage electric current inflicts on a human body."
In Nebraska, electrocution is the ONLY method used to execute condemned prisoners. In nine other states it is still an option or a backup method.
The Nebraska Supreme Court ruled that electrocution is cruel punishment.
Electrocution, Death Penalty, Lethal Injection are all cruel methods which violates basic Human Rights and human dignity.
Is "civilization" finally coming to the USA?
